Zapreshcheno Forest Zapreshcheno Forest or translated to Forbidden Forest, was named by a Russian who tried to disprove that the forest was actually forbidden. Sadly when he ventured out, he came back five days later in dying condition. The forest was named in his honor, and had most people stay away until the 1980s when the region became a part of a national park. last post in Life In Bullet Time [private - Karter] by Cecile Morgan Mar 18, 2015 14:03:00 GMT -5 |

Meerjungfrau’s Lake Meerjungfrau’s Lake or translated to Mermaid lake was named by a German who was fishing in a small boat when he swore he saw the tail of a mermaid. After that, many who fished in the lake claim to see mermaids as well even though the mythical creature swims in salt water only. No posts have been made on this board. |

Odyssey’s Beach Odyssey’s Beach was named when the citizen of Salem was given a poll to choose the name for the beach. Many choose the name Odyssey due to the legend that Sirens had built the lake by hand so that they may live within the town. No posts have been made on this board. |
