Autobiography
Personality: Hope is a kindhearted, overenthusiastic whimsical woman who has a big heart. She has sworn a Hippocratic oath, and refuses to harm another person, making her a pacifist. This of course makes it a bit difficult to be a vampire, but she has solved it by living on bagged blood that she takes from the hospital. She is very open with her feelings, and showers her brother Sherlock, and Ray in affection. She loves to stop and chat with strangers on the street, and is famous at the hospital for cheering up patients in her lunch breaks. Her kind and whimsical nature may cause some people to see her as dumb, but she is quite intelligent and in the operation room she become a whole 'nother person. When performing surgery she becomes serious and determined, showcasing her sharp intellect. History: Hope grew up being protected by her older brother Sherlock, then named Jason, in an abusive household. She still remembers clearly to this day the terror of living in that house, being forced to watched as her beloved older brother Jason was hurt by their father and oldest brother Charles. Some of her motivation to become a doctor stems from this, as she often wished she could heal all of her brothers wounds. She doesn't remember much of her mother, only that she was sick and died as consequence of that illness. Once she was 13, and Jason 18, they left and started living by themselves with Jason supporting them with a job. What followed was a happy time where her brother would help her with homework, they would laugh freely without the fear of their family, and 2 years later Jason began studying to become a policeman. Hope had never felt so proud of his brother as she was the day he graduated form the academy.
When Hope began working as she met a man named Frederick, he was handsome, charming, intelligent and Hope let herself be charmed by him. She was completely swept off her feet, and everything was going well until one night. He had been walking her home and she had just kissed him goodbye, when he became more insistent for something more. When she refused he became angry and forceful, and Hope would forever be grateful that her brother came to her rescue. The incident left her shaken, and she started to become more careful around men, only trusting a select few.
The next few years went by, and everything was fine until one night when her brother didn't come home. Worried she came up with various scenarios from being kidnapped, killed, ripped apart by wolves or turned into a vampire. And to her surprise it turned out the latter was correct, when Ray her brother's partner whom she had met at several occasions showed up on her door. When he explained what had happened she didn't believe him at first, but when he showed her his fangs she came to believe him and begged to see her brother. When she finally saw her brother it was a shock, he was wild and out of control like some beast. Had he not been chained he would have attacked them, and she could see no recognition in his eyes and the sight chilled her to her bones. But she still visited him everyday until the day he woke, even though the sight of him like that frightened her more than anything else had ever done. When he finally woke up he commanded her to leave the room, and she fled quickly.
Soon her brother started working on controlling himself and Ray became a fixed person in their life. Hope began talking to him more and more, enjoying their conversations and soon she fell head over heels for him. This time though she took it slow, and it was sometime before she revealed her feelings for him. When Ray confessed he felt the same her heart soared and a wonderful relationship soon began. When she was 25 she decided she wanted to become a vampire too, the two people she loved the most were vampires and so she would become one too. After arguing with her brother, he finally caved in on the condition that he was to turn her. The first weeks were tough but she soon learned to control herself, and their life truly began.
At the end of 1800s Hope began studying medicine as women could finally get the same qualifications as men, and she prospered in school. Now every time they move she gets herself a job as a doctor at a hospital.
